Wanna be a Roller Doll? The Lava City Roller Dolls
want you! No prior experience necessary. We can teach
you everything you need to know to bring out your inner
Roller Warrior! Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby is a
competitive sport that will get you in amazing shape.
We run training programs for new skaters aka “Fresh Meat”
four times a year. Each program is 3 months in length
and includes basic skating skills, Roller Derby 101, blocking,
game strategy and rules review.
Next Fresh Meat Program Dates:
Tuesday evenings beginning on July 5th, 2011
5:30 -7:30 p.m. at the Midtown Music Hall and Sunday
afternoon from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Cascade Indoor Sports
Center (corner of Empire and High Desert Lane, Bend)
Participants will be required to purchase WFTDA insurance
and pay $40.00 / month in dues. Participants are encouraged
to purchase thier own quad roller skates although we have
some loaner gear and rental skates (limited availabilty).
In addition to skates you will need: wrist guards, elbow pads,
knee pads, a helmet and mouthguard.
Roller skates, protective gear, and skate accessories can be
